We came, we saw and Taraji conquered looking spectacular at the 81st Academy Award ceremony.
My dad always told me “it isn’t if you win, but how you play the game” and that is so true in this case.
Taraji’s talent and heart got her this far and these qualities will undoubtedly take her further. Not to mention that with such a strong and eloquent presentation for the best supporting actress award by Eva Marie Saint, Whoopie Goldberg (rocking a leopard print dress and showing off her tattoo! Yay Whoopie!), Tilda Swinton (love her!), Angelica Houston (fierce!) and Goldie Hawn - you knew then that all the nominees were undeniable winners in their field.
So while I was cheering for my girl to win, I’m happy to see her get such honorable recognition.
And about that Roberto Cavalli dress.. one word. Haute!!!!!

How cool is Alfie Woodard? She hosted a dinner party in honor of Taraji and Viola Davis for their Oscar nominations. We know that Taraji is up “Best Supporting Actress” for her wonderful part in The Curious case of Benjamin Button and Viola Davis is up for her role in the movie Doubt which I have yet to see but look forward to coming up in my netflix queue.
And how hot is Taraji’ dress? This is my favorite that she’s worn in recent weeks (more pictures of her hitting the town and making rounds as of late will be up in the gallery when it goes live). Our girl looks grrrrrreat!
Ladies who attended include Halle Berry, Regina Hall, Regina King, Sanaa Lathan, Kimberly Elise, Angela Bassett, and Tracy Ellis Ross among others. So much talent in one room. I am sure that fun was had by all!

Who-ho! Last night Taraji attended the 40th NAACP Image Awards at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles and won the award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in The Curious Case of Bejamin Button.
Kudos to you Taraji!

It is about time we start to see some professional photo shoots (not to mention the cover) with our girl! She looks awesome with her top hat, tails and fishnets. Do it Taraji! That is the best I’ve seen Jet look in a while.
I really like this look and the makeup is perfect. She knows how to rock a sexy, smokey eye.
Bottomline… tasteful, dramatic and fun. Love it! Kudos to Jet!
More in the gallery which will go live shortly. Stay tuned!
Pssst… If you ever see Taraji in a magazine please be sure to holla so I can track it down… thanks!
I found this to be an interesting article.
With all the hoop-la going on the with Oscars it is great to see Taraji taking the time to celebrate such an integral part of the production for The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.
In her remarks, Henson, an Oxon Hill High School and Howard University graduate, discussed how her life has changed, thanks to the film. She said when she used to walk a red carpet, people would say, “That’s the girl from so and so.“ But now, “that girl has a name.“
That’s right! Keep moving forward Taraji!
Tomorrow is our lucky day because no matter what you schedule is, you can either catch Taraji on Ellen in the afternoon, or late night on Conan O’brien. Yay! Check your local listings.
