We came, we saw and Taraji conquered looking spectacular at the 81st Academy Award ceremony.
My dad always told me “it isn’t if you win, but how you play the game” and that is so true in this case.
Taraji’s talent and heart got her this far and these qualities will undoubtedly take her further. Not to mention that with such a strong and eloquent presentation for the best supporting actress award by Eva Marie Saint, Whoopie Goldberg (rocking a leopard print dress and showing off her tattoo! Yay Whoopie!), Tilda Swinton (love her!), Angelica Houston (fierce!) and Goldie Hawn - you knew then that all the nominees were undeniable winners in their field.
So while I was cheering for my girl to win, I’m happy to see her get such honorable recognition.
And about that Roberto Cavalli dress.. one word. Haute!!!!!
She is such a intense actress, and passionate about her art. I am really happy to see her reaping the fruits of her labor. Her life story is truly inspirational. Another phenomenal Black Woman. Moreover, she is easy on the eyes….....ummmm hmmm ! Congratulations Taraji !
Hey there Antonio… Thanks for stopping by and dropping a note. Her intensity and passion about her art are high on my list of reasons to really feel where she is coming from when she is on the screen. But then she finds some sort of balance where it is tangible rather then over-blown.

I am currently living and working in Baghdad, Iraq. Watching Taraji in DVD’s is like vicariously being in the United States for the brief duration of the movie. She is a very diverse and dynamic actress. I am excited to see she has expanded her character roles.
